So, the Question Is: Have We Become a Nation of Sheep?

Having lived through Viet Nam and went to War there, myself; I can tell you, that Students overtook Universities, burned records, protests covered the Nation from end to end, and we almost had a Civil War 2.  Young men went to Canada, to avoid the Draft, and others claimed that they were either Gay or Conscientious Objectors.

The battle lines were drawn over ending the War in Vietnam, and pretty much, the protesters won.

I have silently watched as the Government convinced us to be the New Holy Roman Empire, and police the entire world.  With, how many outposts around the world, hundreds.  Anything goes, to make the appearance that We were "doing the right thing," regardless of the outcome or the price.

People, seemed to go along with it, as We identified this enemy, and that, and kept asking for more more for more and more "Wars."   Everybody returning from Iraq or Afghanistan, were not questioned by peers, as they were in the Vietnam War, and those same soldiers were somehow "blamed" for even participating.  The new soldiers are all heroes, and somehow we didn't do it right.

How guilty, the ones who didn't go, overcompensated by endorsing anything that young men now do, whether it be right or wrong.  The "hippies" role reversed and became the Neo-Cons, and the Ones who went  to  Vietnam were bewilded by the switcheroo tactic.

So, now we have wannabees thrashing their backs with chains, and pounding on Holy works, and seeing who can use the most Red, White, and Blue paint in their cause.  Wounded soldiers, become poster children, for even more madness, but money to pay their expenses is getting quite short, and needs to be cut back.

So, who is right and who is wrong.  Should we be Don Quixote and endlessly fight the Windmills of Other's Minds.  To this place and to that we go to thwart the Dragons and Monsters of the World, so that, so that, something or the other happens.

So, we have "dumbed down" to, what to do now.  Certainly not listen to people in the street, after all street people are vagrants, and need to be doing something useful for the rest of us, so we can sleep at night, and not have to worry about all of them that want something from us: what is it that they want, after all, this is my place they that are at: tell them that, so that they will leave me alone in peace.

When will it stop, the mindlessness: we have all lost our minds in the the Desert of Time, will the Nasdaq keep going up and down like some robot, beheaded and arm less lighting the night with meaningless digits of lights and no one is there to track it or much care.
