Buddy and Pedro groom each other, make mating calls to each other, and basically hang out together a lot. Zookeepers regarded it as homosexual behavior – something not at all unknown among penguins or many other types of animals (not to mention human beings).

Zookeepers assigning this behavior as being "homosexual" only shows their immaturity and closed mindedness.

Well, homosexuality in the animal kingdom is very well documented.

I did a Google search and came across some info on homosexual animals pairing for life.

      Interesting.

It was something that I'd never really thought of before but it makes sense.

      This was one article.

Almost a quarter of black swan families are parented by homosexual couples. Male couples sometimes mate with a female just to have a baby. Once she lays the egg, they chase her away, hatch the egg, and raise a family on their own.
